Our Policies

We founded Elegant Threads with one goal in mind: giving our customers a fair, rewarding and enjoyable shopping experience. We conduct business according to the same values and we know that the better our service, the more customer loyalty we enjoy. Our store policies are detailed below to ensure both the client as well as Elegant Threads are protected.  By placing an order through this Website you are agreeing to these terms.

Returns & Exchanges

If you change your mind after placing an order, we are able to accept cancellations prior to the order being shipped; once shipped it will be handled as a Return.  To start a return, you can contact us at info@elegantthreads.ca; Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Note: a 3% administration fee will be charged once an order has been processed​


Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Evening Gowns

We accept returns of Evening Gowns purchased at Regular Price within 5 days. Gowns must be unworn, in original condition, not altered in any way, with all tags attached.  Once a return is accepted, received and deemed resellable, we will offer you the option of an Exchange or Store Credit for the value of your purchase; the cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.  Customers are responsible for return shipping cost and arrangements.

We do not accept returns on Discounted, or Marked Down Evening Gowns.  All products sold with a discount are Final Sale and non-returnable.

Bridal Gowns

Bridal gowns (White/Off-White) are not eligible for returns or exchanges.


Hijabs & Accessories

Hijabs and accessories are not eligible for returns or exchanges.


Gown Sizes vary by Designer, and they don’t always align with the more common North American sizing.  Please review the size guide for the specific designer of your evening gown of choice before making your purchase.  If in doubt, we recommend choosing one size up as that allows for alterations if needed.


For items in stock the delivery time is on average 7-14 business days on domestic deliveries. 

Evening Gowns may take up to 3-4 weeks to ship.  Please check with us for a better delivery date estimate.

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order.

You will receive an email with a tracking link to follow the progress of your shipment provided by the shipping provider.

All Sales and Ship times are subject to stock availability.



Pre Orders

Pre order means that an item is currently out of stock but is in production and will be available at a later date. When your order is processed we will provide an approximate ship date.

Please note that availability dates are subject to change.

Pre-Orders cancelled after confirmation have a 50% cancellation fee that will be applied.
